The First Tee

HAGCSA Supports for the following First Tee Kids.
(20 kids at five locations in the Kansas City Metro Area)

Sunflower Hills Golf Course
1. A 10 year old, fifth grade girl from Shawnee who is working to complete the PAR level during her second year of programming
2. A 10 year old boy from Kansas City, KS who is completing his second year of programming.  He is working on completing the BIRDIE Level while winning 7 of the last 8 tournaments for his age group.
3. A 15 year old freshman from Kansas City, KS who is working to complete the BIRDIE Level.  She plays on the high school golf team and won our Chapter-wide Female Leader of the Year award.
4. A male high school junior from Kansas City, MO who has just entered the program.

 Heart of America GCSA
1. A 15 year old high school freshman girl from Kansas City, MO.  She plays on the high school team, is working on completing the EAGLE Level and has been to one of The First Tee National Life Skills and Leadership Academies. She is in her sixth year of programming
2. A 12 year old, sixth grad boy from Kansas City, MO who is working to complete the BIRDIE Level in his 4th year of programming.
3. A 17 year old high school junior from Lee’s Summit, MO in his fourth year of programming who has attended two National Life Skills and Leadership Academies and is one of only two students in the chapter participating in the ACE Level.
4. A 12 year old sixth grade girl who from Kansas City, MO who is trying to complete the PAR Level in her second year of programming.

 Drumm Farm Golf Course
1. An eight year old boy, from Kansas City, MO.  This third grader is in his first year and working to complete the PAR Level.
2. A 11 year old, Lee’s Summit 5th grader in his second year working to complete the PAR Level.
3. A nine year old, third grade girl from Kansas City, MO in her first year at the PAR Level.
4. A 15 year old, 10th grade girl from Kansas City, MO who is working to complete the PAR Level in her second year.

Ironhorse Golf Course
1. A 16 year old boy from Stillwell.  He is a junior in high school and working to complete the EAGLE Level in his 4th year of programming.
2. An 11 year old boy from Lee’s Summit, MO who is in the 5th grade.  This young man nearly completed the Par Level in his first session.
3. A 10 year old girl from Leawood.  This fifth grader is working to complete the PAR Level in her first year.
4. An 11 year old, fifth grade girl from Paola, KS.  In her second year she has completed the PAR level and is now working on BIRDIE.

 Overland Park Gold Club
1. A 16 year old, sophomore from Overland Park in his first year of programming.
2. A nine year old, third grade boy in his first year of programming.  This Kansas city, MO resident is this year’s tournament Champion in his age group.  He is working on the PAR level.
3. A 12 year old girl in the sixth grade from Shawnee, KS.  She is in her second year and working on the PAR Level.
4. An 11 year old, fifth grade girl from Overland Park, KS who is working on the PAR Level in her second year of programming.

 Overview of this group of 20 participants
1. 10 Boys and 10 girls
2. Ages 8-17
3. Represent all levels of program, PAR through ACE
4. 25% minority (4 African-American, 1 Hispanic)
5. 11 of 20 actively participate in our tournament program
6. Two have attended The First Tee National Life Skills and Leadership Academies.
7. 10 of 20 have been in the program 2 years or less.
