The City of
Coffeyville, Kansas (pop. 11060) seeks course superintendent to direct,
manage, supervise and coordinate the maintenance, upkeep and continued
improvements of Hillcrest Golf Course. Hillcrest is a premiere
municipal course in Southeast Kansas with bentgrass greens and Bermuda
fairways. Originally a Perry Maxwell designed 9-hole course in 1932,
Hillcrest underwent major redesign and expansion in 1998 and now
features 18 holes, par/yardage 72/6291, practice facilities, and
amenities. This is an ideal position for the experienced Assistant
Groundskeeper that is ready to move up to the Superintendent position.
Ideal
candidate will have 2-3 years experience with South Central region
conditions. Primary responsibilities will include turf management,
frontline maintenance of equipment and chemical applications. Emphasis
for this position will be on continued improvements and beautification
projects to the course. Applicant should have experience in time
management, budgeting, equipment maintenance and repair, and supervision
skills for full and part-time staff.
$35,000-$40,000 total salary and benefits package. Benefit package
includes: health insurance, retirement plan, vacation, holidays, sick pay
